Too Many Guitars is a band of musicians who have gathered together to play the best pop music of the 50’s to today. Originally formed by founder Van Webster as a get together for musicians who wanted to play just for fun, it has evolved into a highly polished performing unit. Audiences love the eclectic mix of favorite hits and interesting works by well known artists.

The name, Too Many Guitars, comes form the band’s lineup, featuring four guitar players in a group of 7-9 musicians.   Orchestrating rock music in a large band format enables the group to more closely emulate in live performance the multi-track recording sound that is the signature style of today’s hit music.  The large pool of players also creates the opportunity to tap the talents of 5 lead singers performing a wide range of musical styles, as well as singing rich vocal harmonies.

The band’s repertoire of over 300 songs includes 50’s hits from artists such as Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, and the Everly Brothers.  60’s songs include the best of the Beatles, Stones, The Who, the Doors and the Byrds.  From the 70’s, favorites from The Band, Fleetwood Mac, Orleans, and a special medley from the Rocky Horror Picture Show.  80’s artists include the Eagles, Foreigner, Neil Young, and Eric Clapton.  From the 90’s, the band plays music created by Brian Setzer, JoDee Messina, Mary Chapin Carpenter, and Jacob Dylan.  Current hits include songs by Sheryl Crow, Uncle Kracker, and Weezer.

Musicians in the band include Tom McNamara, guitar and vocals, Van Webster, guitar and vocals, Paul Levine, guitar, Dave Porter, guitar and vocals, Ron Rosen, bass, David Jacks, drums and vocals, and Natalie Lazarov, percussion, bass and vocals.
